RAG as a Service
Features of the RAG-as-a-Service built in Clairvoyance:
Unified Ingestion Pipeline¶
Built a single ingestion layer that feeds documents into Onyx (enterprise search), Graphiti (knowledge graph),+ and pgvector (vector DB) simultaneously.
Benefit: business owners don’t need to worry about fragmented storage. All company knowledge - policies, reports, manuals - is consistently indexed across systems and always query-ready.
Multi-Modal Retrieval (Hybrid Search)¶
Integrated keyword search (Onyx), semantic vector search (pgvector), and relationship search (Graphiti). Implemented routing strategies and fallback mechanisms.
Benefit: questions return precise answers (facts from docs), contextual connections (relationships between entities), and supporting evidence. This reduces decision blind spots for the business owner. Documents can be updated on a daily basis without reconfiguring search, thereby even providing insights into the temporal evolution of business data.
Tenant Isolation and Security¶
Multi-tenant architecture with Neon Postgres (DB isolation) and Neo4j namespaces (graph isolation). JWT-based authentication per tenant.
Benefit: ensures that sensitive data from one client never leaks into another. Business owners get enterprise-grade security and compliance.
Agent Integration (Pydantic-AI)¶
Wrapped RAG inside a Pydantic-AI agent. Connected search tools, authentication, and session management for programmatic consumption.
Benefit: business apps (dashboards, chatbots, analytics portals) can plug into RAG with minimal code. Speeds up delivery of AI features to business teams.
Session and Source Management¶
Added session tracking, retry logic, streaming responses, and source document retrieval.
Benefit: business owners see not only the AI’s answer but also which documents it came from. This builds trust in decisions and simplifies audits.
Coordinated Ingestion & Re-Indexing¶
Added ability to append new docs into existing connectors and trigger partial re-indexing instead of rebuilding from scratch.
Benefit: saves compute cost and time. Fresh business data (new reports, contracts, compliance docs) becomes queryable almost instantly.
API & CLI Interfaces¶
Developed REST APIs and CLI tools for querying, authentication, and managing ingestion/search.
Benefit: flexibility - technical teams can integrate RAG into custom pipelines, while non-technical teams use dashboards and assistants.
Response Composition & Evidence Packaging¶
Generated multi-section responses: direct answer, relational context, supporting snippets. Logged retrieval responses for transparency.
Benefit: when making financial, operational, or compliance decisions, business owners don’t just get one-line answers; they get a documented, defendable basis for action.
This stack converts scattered enterprise knowledge into a reliable decision-support system, giving business owners speed, accuracy, and traceability in everyday operations.
